Starting point

Conekta needed search visibility across a complex payments industry, and a website its teams could publish on without a full rebuild first.

What we did

An SEO strategy across 500+ topics, a Webflow blog served through a reverse proxy, then a migration of the wider website.

Results

The published case reports 850% more organic traffic, 70% lower web development costs and 300+ Webflow components. Measurement dates and baselines are not stated.

Help people understand payments before they choose a provider

Conekta’s search opportunity extended beyond people already looking for its product. Businesses also needed answers about the payments industry: the terminology, the options and how they worked.

We built an SEO strategy covering more than 500 relevant topics. The program combined new articles, a glossary and improvements to existing pages. Each format had a job: articles explored a question, glossary entries explained unfamiliar terms, and website pages connected that research to Conekta’s offering.

One strategy, three content formats

  3. Existing pagesUpdates and optimization
The research informed both new content and improvements to existing pages.

Give the blog a new publishing home first

The content program needed somewhere to run. We built the blog in Webflow and connected it to the existing website through a reverse proxy. That let the first part of the project launch without waiting for the whole site to move.

As other Conekta teams began using Webflow, the scope grew. The migration expanded to the wider website, following the adoption that had started with the blog.

Build a system the wider site could use

The wider migration brought more than 300 Webflow components into the project. Alongside the publishing work, we optimized more than 100 articles for search.

Those two workstreams supported the same goal. The SEO program gave Conekta a plan for what to publish; the Webflow build gave its teams a platform for publishing and maintaining it across the website.

From one blog to a company-wide platform

Meaningful’s published case reports an 850% increase in organic traffic and 70% lower web development costs. These are historical reported results; the original case does not give their measurement dates or baselines.

The lasting change was broader than the initial blog launch: Conekta moved from introducing Webflow for one publishing need to adopting it across its website, with an industry-wide content program running alongside it.
